Your choice and my choice are not the same. Your interest and my interest are not the same. Your taste and my taste are not the same. Your passion and my passion are not the same. Your family and my family are not the same. Your problems and my problems are not the same. Your abilities and my abilities are not the same. Your life purpose and my life purpose are not the same.
Then why should I compare myself with you? Why?
You are perfect as you are. I am perfect as I am.
Stop comparing yourself to others.
Many people compare themselves to others. In fact, everyone has done it at one point in their life.
People often compare themselves to others to determine how well they are doing in life. This usually leads to feeling too bad about yourself. By doing so, you are actually judging yourself in a negative way.
By comparing yourself to others, you are holding yourself back.
While in some circumstances, it can be motivating and inspiring to compare yourself to others, but in most cases it is negative and can lead to low self-esteem.
When you compare yourself, you are not looking at yourself; you are not looking at who you are inside and how unique you are. You are just looking outside. You are giving your focus energy (I would say it’s your most precious energy) to other people instead of giving it to yourself.
If you really want to compare, then compare your past self with your present self. Compare your present self with your future self. Ask yourself, Who do I want to become in the future? Where do I want to see myself in the future?
Allow your inner self to answer those questions. And then write those answers on paper, put it on the wall and remind yourself frequently and also start taking small action toward that vision. I hope it will help you.
I hope this content helped you to understand the reasons why you should not compare yourself to others.
